The Renegade All-Day-Battery riding scraper/stripper is an ideal tool for large or small commercial removal jobs, especially in wide open areas where the operator can move forward at full speed. Blades as wide as 27" are available for the removal of soft floor coatings (carpet, vinyl, glue). When peeling up carpet or vinyl, the Renegade will also remove most of the mastic in the first pass. With typical removal rates for carpet/vinyl tile as high as 3,000 square feet per hour, the Renegade is a frequent choice for contractors who need to get their flooring up in a hurry. Ceramic tile removal rates can hit as high as 800 square feet per hour, depending on the thickness & hardness of the thinset. At just 25" wide. it easily fits through any standard door. All Renegade scraper blades can easily be re-sharpened with a standard hand grinder and the correct grinding head, allowing the operator to get the longest possible life out of their blades, instead of have to replace them after a single use. With the removal of soft flooring (like carpet, vinyl rubber floors and mastic) it's not uncommon for an operator to get 5,000 square feet or more out of a single blade, just by re-sharpening it after every couple thousand feet of use.
